GovernorLine is a professional helpline offering telephone support to school governors, clerks and individuals involved directly with issues of school governance in England.
GovernorLine offers free, independent and information and support on education law and recognised good practice within maintained schools in England. The service is completely confidential between caller and advisor.
The helpline is available every day at the following times:
Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m
Weekends 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m
Public Holidays 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m
A TextPhone facility is also available.

The GovernorLine service is provided by Worklife Support under contract to the Department for Children School and Families.
The NGA recommends GovernorLine to all Governors; we believe that the GovernorLine counsellors offer good advice, and we suggest that governors seeking advice and guidance should contact Governorline in the first instance.
