There are several different types of NGA membership, each offering different benefits which are summarised in the table below. Click on the benefits down the left hand side to find out more.

Terms and conditions

  1.  ‘Governor’ and ‘trustee’ are interchangeable.
  2. Your membership covers 12 months, and is not refundable.
  3. Prices may be subject to change in April each year
  4. Corporate members can register up to 10 employees. 
  5. Each governing board will require their own membership subscription, memberships can not be shared between schools/academies.
  6. It is up to you to update the details held by the NGA. You can do this by emailing membership@nga.org.uk. In signing this form, you accept responsibility for providing the email addresses of the governors, trustees and employees listed on the membership. An email address is required to receive the newsletter and bulletin board, and access the website.
  7. NGA will use your details for membership purposes only and to keep you up to date with other NGA work. We won’t give or sell your details to any 3rd party for anything other than membership benefits.
  8. All members get discounts on NGA publications.
  9. Events are on a first come first served basis. We cannot guarantee members a place at every event. Early bookings are recommended
  10. Additional places at events over the membership allowance will be charged at £60 (inc VAT) per place. If you book onto an event but do not attend (without informing us) you will be charged a non-attendance fee of £60.
  11. Only GOLD members are entitled to advice.
  12. In joining the NGA, you agree not to pass on our guidance to third parties, with the exception of the bulletin board.
