Hackney School Governor Association
HASGA is the independent school governors’ association for all maintained schools in Hackney. Each school may select 2 representatives for HASGA but all governors are welcome at our meetings and we encourage governors and governing bodies to bring matters of common concern for discussion. We provide a formal channel of communication with The Learning Trust.
We meet twice each term to discuss topical items relevant to education and governance. At the first meeting of each term we put questions to and have discussion with Learning Trust officers. At the second meeting we have workshops or speakers on themes that have been requested by governors. At each meeting there are refreshments and some time for networking.
