School and college funding - May 2018

At the end of May 2018, NGA gave written evidence to the House of Commons Education Select Committee's inquiry into school and college funding.

Key points from NGA's submission:

  • NGA supports funding reform but does not think there is sufficient funding in the system;
  • Governors and trustees who are NGA members rank funding as their number one concern;
  • Pupil premium funding must be retained;
  • Schools need certainty of funding for at least three years.
