Deborah is the Events Coordinator and is responsible for the organisation of all of the NGA events. Her role includes the planning, operation and coordination of the regional meetings, regional conferences and national events that NGA deliver free of charge for its members. Deborah can help with member registration and ensuring that members are provided with the support and information that they need to get the most from their NGA event.
Before joining NGA, Deborah worked as an exams and student support officer at University of Birmingham. She has also worked extensively overseas organising events for students and staff involved with academic partnerships.
Francey is NGA's Head of Marketing and Communications. Francey's role includes developing NGA's marketing strategy for promoting NGA's membership and training services, overseeing NGA's website and publishing the Governing Matters magazine and NGA publications.
Prior to joining the NGA, Francey worked in the education sector including universities and further education colleges overseeing marketing communications activity.
Kirstie is the NGA’s Public Relations Officer, responsible for communicating our vision, values, policies and campaigns, and leading on media relations. She also manages communications for the Inspiring Governance project. You can contact Kirstie about our diversity campaign, the Young Governors’ Network, parental engagement and governor recruitment.
Kirstie gained communications and marketing experience in the financial services sector, and prior to joining NGA, worked for a large multi academy trust. She also achieved a BA in Business Management and Marketing at Keele University. Kirstie is currently completing the professional diploma in public relations and governs in a secondary academy in Shropshire.
Tony is currently covering as NGA's Head of Marketing and Communications. Tony's role includes developing NGA's marketing strategy and action plan for promoting NGA's membership and training services, overseeing NGA's website and publishing the Governing Matters magazine and NGA publications.
Prior to joining the NGA, Tony was the director of operations at a youth engagement agency he founded, supporting and training organisations to engage with young people effectively. He also consulted on business systems and digital marketing and wrote and published a book on the topic.
