Whether you have new trustees, governors or clerks seeking induction training, or are an established board looking to improve the way you set and monitor the vision and strategy of your school, federation, academy, multi academy trust (MAT) or other school organisation – we can offer you support.
Develop your leadership skills and confidence. Lead and support your governing board to have real impact on your school’s improvement.
The Department for Education (DfE) has appointed the National Governance Association (NGA) to deliver governance leadership development programmes for chairs, clerks and boards.
NGA has teamed up with Virtual College to deliver Learning Link, an innovative e-learning service. Governors, trustees and clerks can access a catalogue of over 50 interactive online training modules to help you improve your governance skills and knowledge. Key topics include: strategy; team work; assessment; staffing; financial oversight; elements of effective governance; compliance; collaboration, and much more.
With 24/7 multi-device access to course materials, learning can be done at any time, place and pace that suits the learner.
Our training programmes are designed to develop the key skills and knowledge necessary for effective governance of schools and federations, academies and multi academy trusts and will be contextualised to the type of role, school or group.
Our consultants tailor their approach according to the individual requirements of the school, academy or academy trust. We offer a range of options for reviewing governance structures, appraising the effectiveness of the governing board and building an ambitious and constructive school vision.
