Developed by Virtual College through its Enable LMS solution – one of the UKs leading learning management systems being used across businesses, schools, colleges, councils and training providers.
With many governors undertaking their e-learning in the evenings and on weekends, learning can be done at any time, place and pace that suit you. Learning Link gives you 24/7 access to course materials and training records. Progress can be saved so you are able to complete your course in bitesize chunks. Learners can also access their e-learning across different devices including smartphones and tablets.
Should you need a little help, our dedicated support team offer an efficient and friendly service. You can contact us by email or call any time for 24/7 support with getting started.
Learning Link offers bespoke training on all aspects of school governance and offers a catalogue of high-quality content to develop your skills and knowledge on key topics including: strategy, team work, assessment, staffing, financial oversight, elements of effective governance, compliance and collaboration. It currently hosts over 50 governor e-learning modules which have been updated to reflect changes in legislation, the new Governance Handbook and the Competency Framework. There are also eight new induction modules for governors and trustees and these will be free to all governors and trustees placed with Inspiring Governance, the online governance recruitment service.
The modules will provide interactive and engaging e-learning with next steps guidance for further development and links to essential resources. New content will be released throughout the year.
To measure the effectiveness of your online training, schools will have access to full reporting information about their governors’ activities and will be able to customise reports for evaluation. This can be done at any time, or set up to report weekly, monthly or as often as required.
Your learning is tracked. A certificate can be saved, emailed, and printed out straightaway to provide evidence of learning and assessment after successful completion of each module.
NGA Learning Link is a cost-effective way to secure comprehensive training for governors, trustees and clerks on the full range of their responsibilities.
