A new Sutton Trust report looks at the achievement of disadvantaged students within sponsored academies in chains.
In its report, School performance in multi-academy trusts and local authorities, the EPI compare the performance of multi-academy trusts (MATs) with local authorities (LAs), publishing a set of “league tables” to show how MATs perform in relation to each other and in relation to LAs.
Research by the National Governors' Association, the Future Leaders Trust and the National Foundation for Educational Research has found that the number of executive headteachers in England is rapidly increasing even though their remit and responsibilities are still largely undefined.
