The National Governance Association (NGA) has once again joined forces with Tes Magazine to survey the quarter of a million volunteers governing the nation’s schools.
Closing date: Monday 11 June 2018
The survey is open to all governors, trustees and academy committee members in England and you do not have to be an NGA member to take part – please share it with others on your governing board and your wider networks!
Through taking part you will help to build a picture of who is governing our schools, help us understand your governance practice, and shed light on the impact of government policies on schools.
Some examples of the impact made by your views over the last year:
a full report on the findings was published: School governance in 2017: an annual survey by NGA and Tes;
your responses formed the backbone of fringe events at the 2017 Conservative and Labour party conferences;
your responses provided crucial information to inform our Young Governors’ Network and Everyone on Board campaigns;
your views were shared with politicians and policy makers through NGA’s responses to key consultations and inquiries, including on teacher retention, school funding, and Ofsted inspections;
and your responses continue to inform NGA’s guidance, advice, consultancy and training, campaigns and conversations with ministers and officials throughout the year.
The more responses, the stronger the voice of governing boards in national education policy – don’t miss the chance to have your say!
