Updated: NGA writes to Nicky Morgan on compulsory academisation and parent governors

The National Governors' Association has written a letter to Nicky Morgan, Secretary of State for Education, outlining concerns about compulsory academisation and the removal of the requirement for elected parent governors on the boards of academies.

In the month since the White Paper, Education Excellence Everywhere, was published and our immediate response, we have been listening to our members: governors and trustees, across England, and have today written to the Secretary of State to convey their dismay to her.
