Those in governance positions do so in order to make a real difference to children’s lives and ensure their educational welfare.

A major element of this is safeguarding.

NGA recognises the importance of safeguarding and the governor’s role in this; we have created this key Learning Link module to ensure you can carry out this responsibility effectively.

Over the course of the hour, this module will help you to understand and recognise what role you play and why this is key.

The module will also offer questions to help you translate this learning to the real world and get involved in ensuring your own schools practices are working.

To develop your knowledge on this core area, you can find this module in the ‘Active Learning’ section of  your Learning Link account.
