This module will help you to:
Understand the core purpose of your organisation
Understand the curriculum your school should provide and your role in relation to this
Develop your knowledge of Pupil Premium
Understand your board responsibilities in relation to SEND education  
Develop your knowledge on effective behaviour management and legislation
Understand the role of Ofsted
Be able to contribute to board decisions and judgements
Study time: approximately 2 hours

To what extent do you understand the core purpose of your school organisation?

Do you understand how the curriculum that you offer fits into pupils overall education and preparation for life at 18?

You will explore the answers to these questions over the course of this module.

The engaging content provides essential background knowledge on the curriculum that your organisation should provide, along with how and why your pupils should be assessed.

You will also understand how your governance role relates to this. You will also understand the responsibilities your governing board has in terms of: pupils with special education needs and disabilities, disadvantaged pupils, equality and discrimination.

This module provides underpinning knowledge necessary for you to be able to work strategically, challenge effectively and contribute to decisions made by your board.
