Anthony Kent

NGA Consultant

Anthony is an NGA consultant supporting school and trust governance through reviews, training, strategy sessions, and leadership development. He has over 18 years’ experience in governance, having chaired boards in both primary and secondary schools and worked across maintained schools, academies, and MATs. His roles have included local governance, trustee, and interim CEO, giving him insight into both strategic oversight and operational challenge.

Anthony also delivers governance training and external reviews with HfL Education and serves as a strategic leader of governance in Hertfordshire. Alongside this, he brings strong financial and business expertise from his role as a finance director in the property sector, with a professional background in insolvency and restructuring.

He believes effective governance enables leaders to thrive and values clarity of vision, confident decision-making, and boards making a measurable impact.
