Antony Witheyman is an NGA consultant who works closely with schools, multi academy trusts, and diocesan boards to deliver high-quality governance reviews, board training, and strategic growth projects.
His work is delivered through NGA’s quality-assured services, ensuring robust, impactful, and compliant leadership structures.
Antony brings over 25 years of educational leadership experience to the NGA, including roles as an Ofsted inspector, headteacher, and founding trust CEO.
In the last three years, his consultancy work has focused heavily on structural growth and trust development.
He has successfully project-managed the creation of a new multi academy trust from scratch, facilitated major trust mergers, and guided individual schools in selecting appropriate MAT families.
Antony regularly delivers board training and support for governance professionals on Ofsted preparation, exclusions, and executive performance management.
He believes collaborative, strategic governance structures ensure that pupils and people remain at the heart of every decision.
