Clare Allen

Clare has been a governor and trustee for over 25 years, serving in maintained schools and trusts as staff, parent, and co-opted governor, and now as chair of an outstanding primary school in Leicestershire. She is also a trustee in a large MAT, leading on education and standards, and has chaired an Interim Executive Board, securing strong headteacher recruitment and a successful school transfer into a trust. She also has experience of developing innovative federation models to strengthen collaboration between schools.
A former headteacher, Clare now works as a consultant specialising in school leadership and governance. She delivers governance reviews, develops and facilitates training, and advises on headteacher and CEO performance management.
Clare is committed to developing values-focused governance that combines effective training with positive team building, helping leaders and boards create strategy rooted in shared values and exemplary practice.
