Janet Myers
NGA Consultant
Janet has been an NGA consultant since 2015, and undertakes external reviews of governance for NGA Consultancy, delivers workshops for NGA Training, and facilitates on the NGA Leading Governance development programmes for chairs, clerks and boards. She was a National Leader of Governance.
Janet has 12 years of managerial and leadership experience within a blue-chip corporation, encompassing international customer service operations, marketing, vendor management, people management and development, management of £100m+ projects, training and change management.
Janet has been a school governor and trustee since 2009 and has served in primary and secondary schools, both maintained and academies, often as chair. She has first-hand experience of transforming a governing body to adopt an effective structure and routine, meet its statutory obligations and refocus on school improvement. She has chaired a multi academy trust and the Cheshire West Governance Association.
