Phil Hickey
NGA Consultant
Phil is a governance consultant with NGA, supporting schools and trusts across England through reviews, training and development programmes.
As a trust senior executive, Phil has been actively engaged in trustee work since 2018. He now sits as a Trustee supporting a smaller trust to develop and grow.
He has been involved in all aspects of school governance for over 25 years both as a Headteacher and a MAT senior executive. This includes chairing local boards, supporting governor induction and providing training and support for local boards. He is currently the chair of governors of his local school.
Phil has over 30 years of educational experience as a headteacher, inspector and consultant.
He now works as a supervisor supporting senior school and trust leaders, as well as consulting for a charity working with disadvantaged 16-24 year olds.
