Catherine has been an NGA consultant since 2022, delivering governance reviews, training, and advice to boards and governance professionals. She has chaired governing boards in both maintained and academy sectors, served as a National Leader of Governance, and is currently governance lead in a growing multi academy trust. Formerly Head of Governance for a Local Authority divested company, she supported schools and trusts through a wide range of governance challenges.
Catherine provides tailored support for boards and individuals, including mentoring for new chairs and governance professionals, and bespoke training programmes. Her recent work includes managing trust growth projects, advising on effective governance structures, and delivering training to strengthen governance practice.
Her teaching background has shaped her belief that governance is central to building strong, inclusive organisational cultures, where people and values sit at the heart of improvement.
