Chasca Twyman
NGA Consultant

Chasca provides training, governance reviews, panel work, and consultancy to schools and trusts, working with governor and trust boards in primary and secondary schools, MATs, and the maintained sector. She has been a consultant with the NGA since 2023.
Chasca is a vice-chair and trustee in a city-based MAT of nine schools, chairs a large rural foundation secondary school, and has governed in Church of England schools. She is also a member at a large MAT. She has governed in schools considering federations, collaborations, academisation, and those experiencing changes in pupil numbers, and supported trust boards navigating mergers and expansion. She delivers local authority governance training.
As a former university academic with a PhD in social sciences, Chasca brings strong strategic and analytical skills from higher education and trustee experience in the charity sector.
Chasca’s approach is collaborative, working together with boards to make governance manageable and effective.
