Chasca Twyman
NGA Consultant
Chasca has been an NGA consultant since 2023, providing governance reviews, training, panel work, and tailored consultancy for schools and trusts. She has worked with boards across primary and secondary schools, MATs, faith settings, and the maintained sector.
She is vice-chair and trustee in a nine-school MAT, chairs a large rural foundation secondary school, and is a member of another large trust. Her governance experience spans Church of England schools, schools considering federations or academisation, and trusts navigating mergers, growth, and shifts in pupil numbers. She also delivers local authority governance training.
A former university academic with a PhD in social sciences, Chasca brings strong strategic and analytical skills, alongside trustee experience in the charity sector. Her approach is collaborative, working with boards to make governance both manageable and effective.
