Erica has worked with NGA since 2014 and is part of the consultancy team, providing reviews, training, and development for boards and governance professionals. She has over 20 years’ experience in governance, beginning as a school governor before becoming an accredited local authority clerk and trainer.
Erica has contributed extensively to NGA’s Learning Link e-learning resources and Leading Governance programmes and is a facilitator and mentor on the Clerking Essentials programme. She also delivers bespoke training for governance professionals in schools, trusts, and other organisations, and has worked with local authorities and multi-academy trusts to design and deliver training for governors, clerks, and boards.
As an independent governance professional with wide experience across schools and trusts, Erica brings both practical and developmental insight to her consultancy work. She believes that having a valued and well-trained governance professional is crucial for effective governance.
