George Craig
NGA Consultant

George is a member of the NGA’s consultancy team, drawing on his experience as a National Leader of Governance and NLG Advocate. He has chaired governing boards across maintained and academy sectors, including MATs, special schools and faith schools, and is currently an IEB chair.
George has been a governance consultant since 2014 working with schools and trusts in a variety of settings, supporting governing boards and governance professionals with training, performance management, strategic development, and governance reviews. Recent work includes IRP training, performance management, complaint and grievance investigations, trust growth strategy, and governance reviews, always tailored to the needs of each organisation. His work is delivered through NGA’s quality-assured services to ensure consistently high standards.
George has been a school improvement adviser since 2012 and holds the NPQEL accreditation. He has supported multiple schools to achieve successful Ofsted inspection outcomes.
