Peter Sharp
NGA Consultant
Peter is an NGA consultant working with schools and trusts through governance reviews, training, and tailored support. He works with trust boards, governing bodies, and governance professionals across the maintained and academy sectors, in both primary and secondary phases.
He has been involved in governance as a school leader, chair of a maintained school board, and trustee of a multi academy trust. His consultancy work has supported boards preparing for academisation, academy growth, and developing positive and effective governance cultures.
Since 2005 Peter has worked in education as a school leader and independent consultant, supporting schools, trusts, and boards to strengthen leadership and strategy. He also serves as a reporting inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
Peter believes strong governance is built on strong relationships between those involved, enabling positive challenge and better outcomes for children and communities.
