Ross McMurdo
NGA Consultant
Ross is an educational consultant with over 12 years of experience. He previously served as a primary school headteacher across three schools for 10 years, successfully guiding one school out of special measures.
During nearly 30 years in the education sector, he has also served as a school governor and as a foundation governor in a primary school.
As a NGA consultant, Ross has conducted several external reviews of governance for primary and secondary schools, offering insight and guidance to strengthen governance.
He has additionally delivered NGA training, including the Chairs’ Development Programme and governor safeguarding training. Ross is also an experienced headteacher performance management adviser.
Ross’s experience as a headteacher and a governor give him a good understanding of the challenges facing school leaders. He is passionate about driving school improvement and effective governance to enhance the lives and opportunities of young people.
