Using data with confidence: monitoring educational performance in secondary schools webinar
Designed for governors and trustees who want to strengthen their understanding of secondary school performance data and its role in school improvement.
Hosted by Ella Colley and featuring Andrew Hill from FFT, this session will explore the power of data in effective governance. Drawing on practical experience, the speakers will unpack key data systems and essential sources of information, including the school inspection data summary report (IDSR).
We will look at how to evaluate secondary pupil progress and attainment measures, including GCSE and key stage outcomes, how to monitor the performance of specific pupil groups, and how boards can ensure they receive meaningful, accessible data. The session will also highlight the critical questions governing boards should ask to support improvement and ensure the best outcomes for every pupil.
