Consultation responses

As expert leaders in school and trust governance, NGA actively responds to consultations opened by governmental and non-governmental bodies to influence policies and guidance development.

  • NGA provided a consultation response on changes to Ofsted’s inspection process, including report cards, an increased focus on inclusion, SEND, and disadvantaged pupils, as well as the importance of governance in the inspection process. NGA OFSTED Consultation 2025

NGA is also actively engaged with the DfE and has provided evidence and views on the development of DfE guidance. This includes:

  • school attendance
  • behaviour in schools
  • searching, screening and confiscation
  • suspension and exclusion
  • admission appeals
