Emma’s invitation is a proud recognition of the vital role school and trust governance plays in our education system and the importance of championing governance at the very highest levels.

A proud moment for NGA, and a powerful reminder: governance matters.

Emma Balchin, NGA Chief Executive, said:

“It was a real honour to represent the governance community at Buckingham Palace. The gardens were beautiful, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it was inspiring to be among so many people dedicated to education.

The invitation is a recognition not just of NGA, but of every volunteer and professional working to ensure schools and trusts are well-governed, so that the children and young people they serve receive the best possible educational experiences that they truly deserve.

Being part of the King’s Garden Party was a powerful reminder that governance deserves to be seen, celebrated, and supported at the very highest level.
