About this programme
- Governors of a maintained school or federation
- Trustees of a single or multi academy trust board
- Members of an academy committee (often known as a local governing body)
This programme aims to ensure effective governance by:
- developing your knowledge, leadership skills and networks
- enhancing your awareness of your own strengths and areas for development
- creating self-supporting groups to ensure learning continues beyond the programme
- offering a system to problem-solve through action learning sets
- The programme offers a blend of flexible learning and takes approximately three terms to complete
- It comprises three 2.5-hour workshops led by experienced NGA consultants, with a focus on leading the governing board, delivering effective governance and leading school improvement
- The programme differentiates between those governing in a maintained or single school and those working at trust board level. Please choose the cohort which best suits your governance role
- Discussion, debate and networking are an important part of the workshops. Because it is run virtually, this programme enables you to network with governors and trustees from all over England
As we work with local partners across the country, we may also be able to facilitate local face-to-face cohorts. Please contact us directly to discuss this option.
