These modules will help new and experienced clerks to get a better understanding of their role and how to carry it out well.

By completing this module you will understand the key differences and challenges that arise when clerking for an academy trust, and will be confident in where you can find the guidance and support you need to help you fulfil this role.

You will also understand:

  • Where to find and how to use the relevant lay, regulations and guidance
  • How to work within the governance structure of the organization
  • How to work within the clerking structure of the organization
  • How to work with the appropriate organization staff
  • How to apply existing clerking competencies in a new context

You will also understand:

  • How to work within the clerking structure of the organisation
  • How to work with the appropriate organisation staff
  • How to apply existing clerking competencies in a new context
