Annie McMaster
Vice Chair
Annie was elected to the board by members from Yorkshire and Humber in December 2022.
Prior to her retirement, Annie’s role was as a senior HR professional in local government. Her role encompassed areas including safeguarding, governance and compliance, policy development, staffing and budget management.
Upon her retirement she continued with a number of voluntary activities predominantly in the housing sector and in relation to women’s empowerment.
After completing her tenure with White Rose Academies Trust, both on the Trust Board and as a primary chair, she moved to the GORSE Academies Trust as chair of one of its primaries. Annie passionately believes that we owe it to the next generation to ensure that are given the best opportunities to reach their potential. Our roles as governors in supporting and challenging helps to achieve this.
