Meet the trainer

Peter Sharp

Peter works with schools and trusts through carrying out reviews of governance and delivering training. He works with trust boards, governing bodies and governance professionals across different types of schools including primary and secondary phases in MATs and the maintained sector. He has been involved in school governance as a school leader, maintained school governor and chair and MAT trustee. Peter has been involved in education since 2005, working as a school leader and then as an independent consultant supporting schools, trust boards and governing bodies. He also works as a reporting inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate. In this work he has gained a thorough understanding of the regulations and best practice, especially in areas such as safeguarding, health and safety and premises. Peter has experience across a wide range of settings and adapts his approach to provide bespoke support to the organisation he is working with.
