Welcome to Governance LIVE! virtual induction
Training can be delivered via face-to-face and online workshops by NGA consultants. Our workshops are easily accessible and designed to be both interactive and engaging. They provide the opportunity to learn with fellow governors and trustees on a virtual or face-to-face basis.
Session impact
Having a difficult conversation is always daunting. However, knowing when and how to hold a courageous conversation can have a real impact on the outcome.
Being able to ask probing questions, to challenge proportionately and to know when to hold a courageous conversation are key governance skills that we will cover in this session.
The purpose of the session
At the end of this session participants will have examined their board’s approach to this aspect of their governance role and will have looked at a range of approaches for ensuring that they find the answers they need and are confident in following up with a courageous conversation when necessary.
