NGA is a charity which aims to enhance educational outcomes for children by improving school governance. We are an expert, politically independent organisation with a diverse membership. As the national body for governors, trustees and governance professionals, we prioritise making the case for governance and representing the views of our members.
As a result of the varied views of our members and our status as a charity, we generally seek to approach issues constructively and pragmatically, prioritising collaboration over conflict, and working with policy makers to deliver the best possible outcome. Our position statements reflect this approach.
